For your consideration is this beautiful glass paperweight produced in Murano, Italy. I recently came across this piece listed in one of the issues of the Sears Wishbook....I can't seem to find it at this time. I believe the wishbook dated to the 1960s. The piece is absolutely gorgeous. This is an intaglio of the Madonna and Child. The intaglio etching is covered in a bronze finish giving the piece quite the glow. There are a few places where that finish has rubbed off over the years, though they don't affect the aesthetic of the piece. It measures 4.8 inches long x 1.2 inches thick x 6.1 inches tall. I did observe a few abrasions towards the bottom of the front side that I was unable to buff off with a magic eraser. I did not notice the abrasions until held under my studio lighting. Overall, its an absolutely gorgeous piece and would be an amazing addition to your religious icons or Christmas decorations.
